Have you ever noticed that having a sunny outlook on life was a lot easier when you know…the sun is out? For those of you who think January in New England is like living in a winter wonderland, you need to cancel your cable subscription. It’s a blessing when the temperature rises above freezing. I’m not complaining, just telling you the facts. And the fact is, living the healthier lifestyle that you promised yourself on New Year’s is a lot harder when there’s more snow than excuses preventing you from getting to the gym. From one lazy gal to another, here’s how to stay motivated to live your best life, even in the dead of winter.
Whether you’re a gym rat or you occasionally flip through a fitness magazine, you know that the gym is packed every January. This may be frustrating to the dedicated gym fanatics who go all year round and intimidating to those of us who have fallen off the fitness bandwagon, but are determined to make this year our year. Here are some signs that you should kick your fitness tracker to the curb.
Nothing makes me want to workout more than getting a new outfit for the gym. But graphic leggings and strappy sports bras can add up quick. That’s why I’m a Maxxinista through and through. I love getting a good deal, not to mention get all of my shopping done under one roof. If you’re looking for affordable workout clothes, look no further than your local TJ Maxx (or Marshalls!)
Have you ever had to choose between eating dinner at a normal hour or going to the gym? Now there’s zero excuse not to exercise at least once a day. Grab some leggings and station yourself in front of the closest microwave. Here are 3 quick leg workouts you can do, not matter your eating habits.
I’m a sucker for anything trendy. Combine that with also being healthy? Sold. Take all of my money.
If you’ve been paying attention to your local grocery store, you might have seen kombucha popping up on the shelves over the last year or so. What exactly is it? And most importantly, can you mix it with alcohol? #priorities
